HR Department Benefits from Digital Printing of Employee Benefits Booklets
The Human Resources Department of a major southwestern telecommunications company needed to print and distribute employee benefits booklets to their employees.
The Challenge
The HR Department was looking for a way to simplify the printing and distribution of 18,000 employee benefits booklets. Complicating matters, 13 sections were personalized in different combinations for each employee. The company was printing the books in sections, and shipping them to hundreds of distribution points where temporary employees assembled the customized booklets. This procedure led to a high degree of error, as well as problems with booklets being lost.
The Solution
Our DPC (Digital Print Communication) Services division was able to assume responsibility for the entire procedure, simplifying the company's involvement to simply supply the employee information on diskette. Our DPC group took the disk, compiled the data for output to specific print fields, produce individualized and personalized booklets through our state-of-the-art digital printing facility, and shipped each finished benefits booklet to the appropriate employee.
