Equipment Company Consolidates Print Buying

A heavy-equipment leasing and sales company from a large city in the mid-west was purchasing printed materials from several vendors, and having difficulty keeping track of who printed each piece when it came time for reprints.

The Challenge

The company faced many challenges with their print communications including a time-consuming quote process, print quality inconsistencies, difficulties tracking down the appropriate vendor when it was time for reorders, and placing costly rush orders due to out-of-stock items.

The Solution

A Print Management Program was instituted from Miami Systems Corp. A Miami Systems account executive met with the company's MIS Director and gathered all printed items for analysis. Miami Systems relied on its diverse manufacturing capabilities to satisfy the need for a broad range of printed materials, as well as meeting the firm's high print quality standards, and the benefits of single source responsility and quick responsiveness.

As their Director of Information Services states..."We are able to better track our forms history, maintain costs, and eliminate the out-of-stock issue. [Our Miami Systems representative] visits our offices once a month for a physical inventory, and we develop our order from this visit. I can't imagine doing our forms business in any other manner."
